Producer Gathering Bursary Recipients
Thu 22 Apr 2021
We’re very happy and excited to announce that the two selected candidates for our first Producer Gathering Bursaries are the very excellent Daljinder Johal and Daisy Hale. Over the next few months, we will be working closely with both to develop their producing skills, provide tailored mentorship and training and support the development of their own profiles.
Get to know them a bit better here:
Daljinder Johal

Daljinder works across production, marketing, journalism and curation, in addition to being a writer, to create joyful and thoughtful work that shares nuanced perspectives from voices often underrepresented in the arts and film industry.
She has a particular passion for highlighting the creativity of the Midlands with artists as an independent producer or works companies across the UK including the cultural development agency ArtReach, South Asian LGBT+ organisation Gaysians, in the vibrant Birmingham arts scene with Craftspace or makes worldwide connections as an Assistant Managing Editor with the literary journal, Asymptote.
Daisy Hale

Daisy Hale is an Independent Producer, Fundraiser and sometime artist working across Theatre, Cabaret, Live Art and large scale live events.
They specialise in experimental and socially engaged work that often has a grassroots activism strand and primarily work with Queer, Trans* and Disabled artists, bringing artists that have been historically ostracised from the mainstream into the mainstream through populism and fun. Daisy was part of the Old Vic 12 2019 and a Clore Emerging Leader 2020. They’re also an access consultant and disability equality trainer for arts organisations.
