Our short film Space / Walk selected for BFI Flare 2021
Wed 17 Mar 2021
Marlborough Productions’ short film documenting a conversation between two generations of QTIPOC in Brighton & Hove has been selected for BFI Flare 2021 – London’s annual celebration of LGBTQ+ independent film.
Space / Walk has been made by artistic director Tarik Elmoutawkil with Carmen D’Cruz and Amina Yousif. The first in a series of short films, Space / Walk explores what it is to be a queer/trans/intersex person of colour (QTIPOC) and follows the stories of 17-year old musician Miri FLC and Mark Lindsay Jones, 62.
Weaving in unheard personal histories, it’s an honest exploration of surviving and thriving in an atmosphere that was never designed to support your experience. Two following episodes will be released early next year.
The film will be available to watch from March 17-28 on the BFI website (click here to watch)
