Esmée Fairbairn Foundation supports Marlborough Productions with three year grant funding

Marlborough Productions is thrilled to announce a significant three-year grant, totalling £225,000, from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation’s funding for ‘arts and creativity making change’.

This vital investment will be a catalyst for our mission to make queer culture and community happen on a local, national, and international level. 

Esmée Fairbairn Foundation’s support of our work strengthens our radical approach to building a truly representative cultural workforce – one led by a diverse new generation of cultural leaders. 

With their backing, we’re also growing our groundbreaking New Queers on the Block network, developing queer artists and audiences across the UK. With the Foundation underpinning our core costs we will deepen our impact across the sector through initiatives like Producer Gathering, Brownton Abbey,  Queer Heritage South and the DSPRNBW Network.

Events made possible by the funding include Revealing St James Street, which brought to life queer stories steeped in the very bricks of the iconic Brighton Street (28 & 29 July), and Radical Rhizomes’ Rhize Up Fest, a QTIBPoC-led space open to all allies of Queer/Intersex Black people/People of Colour, featuring live performances and accessible activities led by Radical Rhizomes members (21 September, Ironworks Brighton).

Marlborough Productions’ Co-Creative Directors David Sheppeard and Creative Director Tarik Elmoutawakil said:
